Show-Stopping Il Trattore Concept Tractor Showcases New Holland’s Italian Heritage

At Agritechnica 2025, New Holland will celebrate more than a century of Italian innovation and design with the debut of the T5.120 “Il Trattore” styling concept tractor. The model pays tribute to the original Fiat 702, the first mass-produced tractor from 1918, which will be displayed alongside the concept as a symbol of how far agricultural engineering has evolved.

The name Il Trattore embodies the fusion of style, innovation, and versatility, echoing the spirit of the 702 — a machine that transformed farming after World War I by easing labor demands and boosting productivity.

Developed at New Holland’s Jesi factory in Italy, the T5.120 Il Trattore features a striking red-and-green color scheme inspired by the Fiat 702. From the Fiat graphic on the grille to the saddle leather seat and toolbox, every design detail connects the past with the present, blending heritage aesthetics with advanced technology.

The display also highlights Fiat’s long-standing design evolution — from the 1950s Piccola to the Pininfarina-styled 80 and 90 Series of the 1970s and 1980s, and the Fiatagri models that paved the way for today’s New Holland brand.

We wanted to capture the simplicity and iconic character of the Fiat 702 while bringing it into the modern era,” says David Wilkie, CNH Head of Industrial Design. “Il Trattore celebrates the timeless essence of Italian design — where style meets substance.

With Il Trattore, New Holland reinforces its commitment to engineering excellence, heritage preservation, and innovation that serves modern farmers worldwide.
